about

Music To Disappear In is the first release by American multi-instrumentalist Raphael for the label Hearts of Space, a synonym for new age and ambient music. This album has a history of miracles and it is one that people listen to every day, because of its connection to the spirit. Raphael uses piano and keyboards as a central voice, creating a lulling web of atmospheric string sounds complemented by flute and percussion. Long used by bodyworkers, Music To Disappear In is the very definition of New Age relaxation music. Over 500,000 sold – a classic!

"I don't know if someone ever disappeared by listening to this album, what i know is that it exposes you to a rainbow of celestial sounds: it's a very well-crafted ambient work on the surface. Soothing and colorful, never monotonous or boring. A posteriori you will find it relaxing, the mind is able to follow every note without any struggle. Contains healing piano playing, tribal medicine percussions, ecstatic Gregorian chants.

Despite being a new age record, studies were made by Raphael, its elements make it more suited for ambient fans or casual ambient listeners that seek some physical relief.” - Ryoanji
